Dawn of a brand new day...

This is a picture of the sunrise at my house this morning...so pretty. I feel the dawn of a new beginning for me. Embarking on a whole new world...a new year and a new me...

I love the holidays and being surrounded by my family and friends. I love the smell of an early, crisp morning. I love the days I don't have to carpool and stay in my jammies until noon =) I love cooking (most nights) for my family. I love having lunch with a friend. I love seeing my kids smile and hearing them laugh...a REAL laugh.

I love this time of year....and I love to see a good sunrise....

Take time to make a list of what you love and what you should be thankful for.

All about Busniess...

Great game last night!!! Wheehooo, go COLTS!!

Now that I have that out of my system, it is time to talk business.

I am so excited, I am currently working on a WHOLE NEW WEBSITE! A new way to order prints, a whole new look, a whole new me! Karen at Modern Image Communications has been working day and night to get this done. Thank you so much Karen, I truly appreciate it. And it is looking great!

And yes, this all comes with a price. I am raising my prices, trying to keep up with all the other great photographers out there, and all the money it costs to run a business right now. But not to worry, I will still be very affordable.

Time is running out on getting that family photo for Christmas cards. I have a few slots in my schedule left to get your photos done, just give me a call.

Stay tuned for my new site. I am hoping it will be up by the end of the week.

I Apologize

I apologize for a few things this evening. I just found out that my web page is throwing up a bunch of errors and you can't see anything! Sorry about that. Technical issues. We are working on it, so please just email me if you are wanted ANY information about photos or need to get your prints.

I also apologize for the late blog. We had a wonderful day today, and I really wasn't even going to open my laptop until I was informed my website was down so I felt obligated. Our dear friends, Matt and Jen, made us breakfast this morning. Then I went running a few errands with Jen while the boys sat around a fire and watched some awesome trucks bounce off some trees and go up and down the ravine. Jayden got cold, so Jen and I came back to our house and made soup and cookies. Now I am trying to watch the Colts game and blog. Great day!

So I apologize again, because this is going to be a short blog so I can get back to my great day, and my colts!!

Family Game Night

Well, shopping was pretty much a success. I got STARTED, lets just say. And the crowds where not to bad. I like shopping BEFORE the mad rush...and NO I am NOT one of those crazy people that get up at 4am to shop and stand in line for HOURS just to get the BEST deal the day after Thanksgiving.

OK maybe ONCE! Last year Gregg and I wanted a small flat screen for our bedroom that we had just redecorated, so we DID get up at 4am, go to meijer, grabbed a tv, checked out, and was BACK in bed by 5:30 =)

So, after shopping, I had to get the kids and go for their haircut. This put us getting at home around 6. Pizza and a game or two, and then kids where in bed. Then we had a nice visit with my nieces, Danielle and Cassidy stopped by for a bit.

Side note about the game pictured above. Yes, we are playing electronic BATTLESHIP. Or actually the radio shack version called Sea battle. This game HAS to be at least 20 years old. My dad and I used to play this game when I was younger. We LOVED this game. My love for games has transfered to my children. And this is one of Leo's favorite games now.

Today is a relaxing day of getting a few things done, then headed to a party tonight... no kids (Thanks Danielle and Cassidy!)

Have a WONDERFUL weekend, despite the cold!

Bah-Humbug!

Every year....EVERY YEAR I KNOW I have to buy gifts for family, friends and the kids....and EVERY year I DREAD going out in November and shopping. It's just not fun anymore. Fighting crowds, shopping sales, looking for the PERFECT gift and then find out it cost $50 buck MORE then you can afford!!
Don't get me wrong, I love my little kids faces as they open their gifts on Christmas day, but it's gotten so commercialized. I mean, they have a TON of toys upstairs that they just HAD to have, and they NEVER play with them. And forget about all the electronic games, we don't have a Wii, PlayStation, or even a Atari (remember those ;) in this house. Its a board game, card game or on an occasion a computer game. I fight enough with my 6 year old, I don't want to through THAT into the mix. He is addicted already. His grandpa has one at the lake, and we fight with him there in the summer time to get out and swim and play then play video game in the dark basement!

Anyway, I babble. Shopping online HAS improved my spirit some, but only if you get a good deal on shipping. I had a toy I wanted to buy one of the kids, and this was the ONLY gift I found I wanted to buy from this site. By the time shipping was tagged on, I was almost paying double the amount of the items...AHHH!
So, I am off to conquer the holiday shopping world. Wish me luck...and if I get too depressed, I may just buy something for myself to put under the tree ;)

Before and After

Before

After
Yes, I am 4 days into this and all I have to blog about is my dog getting a haircut! =)
He was in desperate need of it, as you can tell. He is 12 or 13 (I always forget) and very special to the family...but he is getting old. He still seems to have his health thou...no real problems there. He HATES going to Mary's Groom Room to get a hair cut. On the way there he trembles...but when he comes home, he acts like a puppy again. He runs around, and gets playful and I swear he doesn't look so depressed =) So cute...and Jayden just adores him.
So, my dog got a haircut yesterday =)

Wordless Wednesday

A few words of explanation-
Top photo is my boys visiting my grandmothers grave....I miss her dearly.
Below is a photo of one of my sons sitting on my daddy's grave. They never met him...I miss him more then words can say...
....it must be the holidays approaching that have me thinking of them so much...
...and maybe the fact that we almost lost Cassidy...
...Hug the ones you love, you never know what tomorrow may bring...

Reggie Wayne

That's right!! All you Cassidy followers, we went to see REGGIE WAYNE!! He hosts a radio talk show at a local restaurant and we went to see him. He was SO happy to see Cassidy, and she was even MORE happy to see him!!!! He signed autographs and sat and chatted with Cassidy about her condition and how she was. He must of been talking about her, because as soon as she arrived, the radio DJ's knew who she was, and so did some of the people at the restaurant! We got a front-row-joe table!!

Thank you Reggie for all your support and LOVE for my niece, it TRULY has made her day!

The beginning of a WHOLE new life in blogging...

for me. I am going to update this EVERYDAY for a MONTH starting TODAY!!! I promise!! 6 out of 7 days a week, at least!!
My friend Angie, of Angelica Grace Designs, blogs FAITHFULLY once sometime TWICE a day, and she has a HUGE following and a HUGE success in her business...partly because of her blog. I am going to TRY my DARNEDEST (is that a word?) to do the same, for at LEAST a month and see how many followers I get.

Plus, I was updating my nieces blog while she was recovering from her car wreck and got QUITE a few comments on my writing ability....aside from a miss spelled word here or there ;)
So, here it is....the beginning on a month of blogs from me, about me, my family, my life AND my business....
Yesterday, our house was a BUSY house, and I couldn't of been more happy. We had a COMING home party for my niece, Cassidy.

Above Drew and Cassidy

If you know me at all, you would know that girl took over my heart and my life after she got in a car accident on September 13th. None of us have quite been the same. She is a beautiful, smart, funny, adorable girl that just lights up the room!! If any of you have meet her, or followed her blog maybe, you would know or would of heard about it.

ANYWAY, our house was full of people that love Cassidy and we are happy she was home.
Gregg said at one point "I hope the floor joists hold up!"

Above Cassidy and the Uncle Greggster

So, here it is...the start of new blogging beginning for me....and I suggest you check back tomorrow....I very well may have a photo of my adorable niece with a famous Colts player =)

Stay tuned.....
